FREE RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS TO EDUCATE KIDS ABOUT ONLINE PREDATORS AND PROTECT THEM FROM HUMAN TRAFFICKING
About this Event
Learn how this innovative tool has successfully been used to prevent human trafficking. This comic book series is distributed across the U.S. and has empowered 4,000 kids with the knowledge of how to protect themselves from online predators.
NOW YOU CAN USE IT FOR FREE TO REACH KIDS IN YOUR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES!
Saving Jane works with national and global organizations to produce and distribute comic books that teach about human trafficking – what it is, what it looks like, what to do when you see it, and how people fall victim to it. In this easy to follow illustrated format, young people learn to identify, see and avoid the red flags of predatory behavior.
Saving Jane's ABOLITIONISTA! Good Girl Gone comic, created by Thomas Estler, tells the story of how one girl becomes vulnerable and falls victim to a coercive predator who traffics her. The book is accompanied by a teacher/leader version to be taught in schools and community groups. If you are an educator and would like to learn more and have ABOLITIONISTA! Good Girl Gone in your school district, please join us on January 24!
ALL AGES WELCOME! Abolitionista! is appropriate for kids 10+, tweens, teens and adults.
This event will be presented by Thomas Estler, Saving Jane's Director of Storytelling Prevention Programs and Kathyann Powell, Founder of Saving Jane. Saving Jane is a Nevada-registered non-profit.
Young people suffer every day at the hands of modern slavery. With the tools shared at this workshop, you can make a difference in protecting young people!
